Details
REDRUTH CHURCH TOWN SW 64 SE 5/256 House formerly known as 28.9.78 The Princes Plume Public House GV II Public house, now private dwelling. Probably early to mid C18, altered. Large random rubble with massive irregular quoins, slate roof. U-plan formed by 3-unit main range with 2 unequal rear wings. Two storeys and 3 wide bays, symmetrical; narrow central doorway with panelled door, 2 square 6-pane sashed windows at ground floor, low 6-pane sashes above these, and a 4-pane sash above the door, all these openings with large irregular quoins and those at ground floor with massive lintels; beneath the right-hand window, remains of a 2-light mullioned cellar window. Gable chimneys. Sides and rear slurried; gable chimneys to both wings. Interior not inspected. History: said to have ceased to be public house in 1911.
