TL 3949 BARRINGTON HIGH STREET (North side) 17/20 No. 22 (formerly listed as Cottage 22.11.67 130 yards S.W. of Chapel ) GV II

Pair of cottages, now one. C18. Timber framed plaster rendered and long straw thatch with shared red brick stack of two flues. One storey and attic. One dormer. Two, three-light modern casements. Doorway to one cottage has been blocked and that to the other is no longer used. The doorway is now in late C20 wing at the rear. Inside: Two bays. Each cottage had a red brick fireplace and a ladder staircase to the chamber above. One of these staircases remains. _ _
