PELYNT SX 25 SW 4/161 Trelawne Lodge - II

Lodge to Trelawne (qv) now private house. Circa early 1860s, possibly by J.P. St Aubyn who was responsible for extensive additions and alterations to Trelawne in 1862. Stone rubble with granite dressings and steeply pitched slate roof with gabled ends and shaped barge boards. Gothic style. 2 storeys, asymmetrical single-window front elevation with steeply pitched roof continuing down over projecting ground floor entrance porch to left of projecting front lateral chimney stack. Porch with panelled door in shouldered arched opening with triple light mullion window to right. Window in hoodmould to right of chimney stack. Gabled dormer with steeply pitched roof and shaped barge board above entrance. Gable end to road with canted bay window on ground floor and oriel window above. Shallow projecting wing to rear. Interior not inspected.
