ST MABYN SX 07 SE 5/105 Polglaze Farmhouse


House. Circa early to mid C19. Slate stone rubble with granite quoins, slate hung on front and side elevations. Rag slate roof with hipped ends and brick end stacks. Plan: Overall 'L' shaped 3 room plan heated by end stacks with 2 room and central entrance plan to front range and wing of 1 room plan to rear left comprising kitchen. Lean-to outshut containing dairy, in angle formed by the 2 ranges. Exterior: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window front with central part glazed C19 6- panel door. 2 horned circa C20 16-pane sashes to right and left and three 16-pane sashes above, the sashes to right and in centre probably replaced in the C20. C19 2- light casement in left hand side wall. C20 garage on right. Kitchen stack to rear rebuilt in late C20. Interior: Chimney-piece in left hand room replaced. Circa aid C19 stair partitioned off from left hand room with C19 panelling.
