GOWDALL FIELD LANE HUMBERSIDE BOOTHFERRY 5262 SE 62 SW (east side) 2/14 Stable/pigeoncote approximately 20 metres north-west of Gowdall Hill Farmhouse GV II Stable/pigeoncote. Late C18. Brown brick with Yorkshire slate roof to pigeoncote, pantile roof to lower stable section. Rectangular on plan: forms north side of fold-yard. 2 low storey, 3-bay stable with single southern bay rising to tall 2-storey pigeoncote. South side: segmental- arched doors, part-glazed slatted wooden ventilation hatches; 3 first-floor hatches to stable. Dentilled brick eaves cornice to lower stable section, with 2-course brick band to pigeoncote at same level. Pigeoncote has single first-floor hatch with projecting slate shelf at sill level, dentilled brick eaves cornice, stone-coped gables with shaped kneelers. Row of 3 pigeon holes and shelf to right gable of pigeoncote. North side: pair of segmental arched doors, single ground-floor hatch to stable, row of 6 breathers, first-floor door, similar eaves cornice and brick band to pigeoncote.
