ROMALDKIRK MIDDLE GREEN NY 9922 (North side, off) 29/166 Inset Three headstones (Walton and Horn), 12.0 metres south of Church of St. Romald II

Group of 3 small headstones: William Walton died 1758; Elizabeth Walton died 1747; Mary Horn died 1767. All apparently by the same mason. Sandstone.

All have scrolled tops and recessed panels with simple inner edge mouldings. Reverse face of headstone to William Walton inscribed:

Look mortal man as thou goes by As thou are now so once was I, As I am now so must thou be prepare thyself to follow me.
