House. Circa late C18, remodelled slightly circa early C20. Granite ashlar. Steep
grouted scantle slate roof with brick chimneys over the gable ends. Hipped roof
dormer to middle of front and rear. Crested clay ridge tiles.
Plan: double-depth plan with central cross passage leading to central stair at rear.
2 rooms at the front; slightly deeper room, left, with kitchen behind and shallow
parlour right with 2 small rooms behind.
Exterior : 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3 window south front with central doorway. 6-
panel door. Circa early C20 5-light canted bays with hipped roofs, left and right,
and 6-pane horned sashes in original opening to first floor.
In the right hand gable end is a central window to each floor plus the attic.
Interior : some circa 1900 features but mostly original carpentry and joinery
including floors and roof structure; granite flags in kitchen; original dog-leg stair
rising to attic and original chimneypiece in right hand front chamber with dentilled
cornice.
