House, at one time a mill house. C16-early C17. Timber frame with thin brick infill, partly herringbone, the right gable roughcast, the rear rendered and whitewashed. Flint plinth. Half-hipped old tile roof with large H-plan chimney of thin brick between left bays, the left shaft partly rebuilt. Later roughcast chimney at right end. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Irregular casements, mostly with wooden glazing bars, the first floor with some leaded lights. 4-pane sash to centre of ground floor with blocked original window immediately to left. Lobby entry with board door and C20 gabled timber porch. Narrow flint and brick extension to left; later outshot to rear of left half. Interior has stop-chamfered spine beams, diagonal braces and diagonal wind-braces. RCHM I p.55 Mon.2.
