Details
ST NEOT SX 16 SE 12/120 Treverbyn Lodge - GV II
Lodge, now house. Late C19 with few later alterations. Coursed slatestone rubble with granite dressings. Slate roofs with ridge tiles and gable ends; lateral stacks. Plan: 2 parallel ranges, with principal room to front left in projecting gabled wing; porch in the angle to centre and room to right with front lateral stack. The rear range is for service and has an integral single storey outshut along the whole of the rear. Tudor Gothic style. Exterior: 2 storeys, asymmetrical front. The gabled wing to left has a square bay at ground floor, with 3-light mullion and transom window, in granite, chamfered; 3-light casement above with hoodmould. Gabled porch in the angle to right with 4-centred arched doorway with hoodmould, door with strap hinges, 2-light window above. External weathered stack to right. The left side has external stack heating the front room, 2-light casement at ground and first floor to left. At the right side, there are a pair of gables of the front and rear ranges; to left a 3-light mullion and transom window with hood mould at ground floor, 3-light casement with hoodmould at first floor. The hoodmoulds of the ground floor windows are extended as a string course. At the rear, single storey outshut has C20 door and windows; first floor has stack to left and 2 C20 windows to right. Interior: Not inspected.
