ST GERMANS ST GERMANS SX 35 NE 7/130 Tripcony House
GV II
House. Circa 1830, with few later alterations. Stone rubble, rendered and lined out. Hipped slate roof with rendered stacks to sides; deep eaves. Plan: Double depth plan with central entrance, principal room to front right and left, with stair hall to rear centre, room to rear right and kitchen to rear left. Exterior: 2 storeys, symmetrical 3-window range, on plinth; all windows C19 12-pane sashes. Central flat-roofed porch with half-glazed margin glazed door, recessed panels to sides and head with roundels, cornice; formerly had a balcony over. Right side has 12-pane sash at ground and first floor to right. Rear not rendered, with 15-pane central stair light; 12-pane sash at first floor to right. Ground floor has single porch to left and rear single storey scullery; 12-pane sash lighting kitchen. Interior: Dog-leg stair with scrolled string, twisted and wreathed handrail, stick balusters. Front room to right has marble chimneypiece with steel grate. Front left room has moulded cornice and painted marble chimneypiece. Front rooms have shutters to windows. First floor rooms retain C19 cast iron grates in fireplaces. 4-panelled doors at ground floor and slate floor in kitchen and rear passage.
