CARLTON AND CHELLINGTON THE CAUSEWAY SP 9455-9555 24/92 Baptist Meeting House - - II

Chapel. First floor datestone 1760, with C19 extensions. Coursed limestone rubble. Hipped old clay tile roof with rear divided into three parallel gables. Two storeys. E. elevation: first floor has two central fixed windows with glazing bars. These are flanked by 2-light casement winnows and these, in their turn, flanked by single light casements. Ground floor has two central large fixed windows with glazing bars flanked by late C19 yellow brick porches with slate gabled roofs. To the outside, are two, tall, narrow fixed windows with glazing bars. C19 extension to N. end at right angles. Coursed limestone rubble. Welsh slate roof. Two storeys. E. gable end: first floor three sash windows with glazing bars. Ground floor two similar windows. Central doorway with 6-pane rectangular fanlight.
