SK 16 SW PARISH OF HARTINGTON MIDDLE QUARTER BUXTON ROAD 7/69 (West Side) Cotesfield Farmhouse II

Farmhouse. c1830. Coursed limestone rubble with gritstone dressings and quoins. Slate roof with stone ridge. Stone coped gables with plain kneelers. Stone gable end stacks with plain bands. Two bays, three storeys. L-plan. Steps up to slightly off-centre flush doorcase, Projecting lintel and quoins half way up jambs. To either side, glazing bar sashes in plain surrounds. Above, two similar sashes. Above again, to eaves, shallower but similar window to east. C20 casement in original plain surround to west. Rear section with flush mullion windows and case- ments.
