Detached house. Probable late C17 core with early and late C19 alterations and additions. Colourwashed render, slate roofs. C17 cottage to rear and C19 additions to south and rear forming 'U-shaped' plan. South front comprises an early C19 range of 2 storeys, 3 windows and 2-storey gable end to right-hand of a late C19 addition. Windows are early C19 small pane casements with Gothick Y tracery glazing under pointed-arched heads (those to late C19 section are faithful reproductions). Central canted porch rising through 2 storeys in early C19 range; open at base, supported on 2 columns. Central upper window in bay is sashed. 6-panel door. Shallow pitched roof with deeply projecting eaves. 2 ridge rendered stacks. Interior. Several 6-panel doors in reeded architraves, early C19 staircase with wreathed mahogany handrail, square balusters and carved tread ends. The house was originally called Blackmoor Cottage.
