Details
SK 46 SW PARISH OF MORTON MAIN ROAD 4/14 (South Side) Morton Miners Welfare GV II
House. Mid to late C18. Coursed squared sandstone with sandstone dressings. Slate roofs with stone coped gables with plain kneelers, and to the north, plain kneelers above re-used inverted moulded kneelers. Three stone gable end stacks. L-plan, two storeys with attics. Single storey C20 additions to the west. North elevation of four bays with flush angle quoins, Doorway to the left with stone lintel and jambs and C19 panelled door. To the right, a glazing bar sash with stone surround and a smaller glazing bar sash set within the moulded stone surround of a former doorway. Only the upper half survives, complete with its dripmould. To the right again, a glazing bar sash with stone surround. Four similar windows above alternately narrow and wide from left to right. The west elevation has a tall C18 staircase window with one transom and two glazing bar sashes.
