Details
ST WENN TREGONETHA SW 96 SE 8/333 Farmhouse at the east side of Tregonetha Village Green - II
Farmhouse. Probably early C18, with addition of circa early - mid C19 and some C20 alterations. Granite rubble, partly slate-hung and partly rendered. Asbestos slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. Gable end stacks with brick shafts. The addition of the C19 has slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends; gable end stack with brick shaft to right. The two stacks to right have been rebuilt in C20. Plan: The original house was of 2-room plan, with central entrance through a porch. Each room was heated from a gable end stack. Probably circa early-mid C19, an addition of one-room plan was made at the right end, heated from a gable end stack to right. At about the same time, a single storey outshut was added along the whole of the rear. Exterior: The original house is all slate-hung at the front; 2-storey, a nearly symmetrical 3-window front. The central porch has a pitched roof, with C19 light to the front and C20 door at the left side. C19 12-pane sash to right and left. First floor has three C19 4-pane sashes. The addition to right has C19 8-pane sash at ground floor and 4-pane sash at first floor. The left end has external stack; 2-light 2-pane casement in the outshut to left. The upper level is rendered, and there is a single storey C20 addition at the rear. The right end is blind. Interior: Not inspected.
