Public house. Early C18 reworking of an earlier structure. Vitrified brick with red brick dressings, apparently encasing same timber framing. C20 tile roof. Front block of 2 storeys and attics, with blocks projecting from rear of one and 2 storeys. Ground floor has carriage archway to LH with plain timber surround under cambered head. To RH doorway is flanked by C19 canted bays. These have pilastered surrounds, moulded cornices and sashes with glazing bars. Doorway contains double-leafed door, each leaf of 2 moulded panels, surmounted by rectangular fanlight with ornamental glazing bars. Pilastered surround similar to bays, with flat cornice hood. First floor has 4 sash windows in slightly irregular arrangement. All have glazing bars, wide moulded wood cases flush to wall, and segmental arched heads under gauged brick openings. Attic has 2 hipped dormers with 2-light casements. Ground floor brickwork is painted. Red brick chimney stack to RH.
