- II*

Farmhouse. Mid - late C17, altered and dated B/1.1/1710 on a rainwater hopper. Rubble; slate roof with coped raised verges; diagonal rubble stacks. L-plan, superior vernacular farmhouse. 2 storeys and attics in gabled dormers. 3 bays, plus one in projecting wing to left. 3- and 4-light casement windows with square leaded lights, ovolo moulded mullions and surrounds and under dripmoulds; one glazing bar sash window in exposed frame in wing to left. Central panelled and studded door, strap hinges with open scroll ends; ovolo and hollow moulded doorframe. Projecting 2 storey porch. Decorative lead gutter with crested fringe and decorative hopper to right. Single storey wing at right: one 3-light casement window with moulded mullions; plank studded door with strap hinges. Interior. Right room has a chamfered frame ceiling; ovolo moulded lintel to fireplace with a spit rack over. Left room: moulded beams; raised and fielded panelling; bolection moulded fire surround; dog-leg stair with turned balusters.
