Fountain. Dated 1904. Granite ashlar with wrought iron gate. The fountain is set
into the inside rear wall, with a central 4-centred arched opening at the front with
hood mould; swept gable over with cross finial and marble memorial tablet with carved
fish and inscription: This fountain was erected by Lady Campbell Clarke in memory of
her sister 1904. Many waters cannot quench love. To right and left of the central
archway is a stone basin set in a niche in the wall with hollow-chamfered 4-centred
arch; the wall above the basins has a cornice.
Interior: The central bay has a tiled floor and tiled internal walls, with a basin
set to rear and at the right side, made of Devon limestone. Ceiled roof. There is a
wrought iron gate across the central bay, made by Worrall of Liverpool.
