ST 68 NW OLVESTON LOWER TOCKINGTON ROAD (west side) Tockington 8/204 Little Brobury Farmhouse

Farmhouse, now house (marked on O.S. as Little Farmhouse). C16 origin with later alterations. Rubble, rendered at rear, brick, pantiled and double Roman tiled roof, stack to right of former door. L-plan, former through passage. it storeys, 4 windows, 3 small gables, 2 to left and one to right of former door, all windows 2-light C20 casements with leaded lights, one in each gable, 2nd window from right replaces former front door, all with timber lintels, small stair light at upper level with timber lintel. North west elevation has external stack without chimney, south east elevation has 2-light attic window with brick segmental head and surround, rear wing has one similar ground floor window and 2 dormers; rear has C20 single storey extension and C20 windows. Interior: plank and batten doors, deep chamfered beams, C20 winder stair in position of former stair, front right room has fireplace with recess for oven, Tudor arched lintel to stair and cambered lintel at top of stair.
