GRAMPOUND FORE STREET (north side), Grampound SW 9248-9348 WITH CREED 7/28 Pair of attached houses immediately - west of the Trevillick Guest House
GV II
Pair of attached houses. Early -mid C19, with few later alterations. Stone rubble; the house to left is painted and the house to right is rendered. The house to left has a scantle slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. The house to right has asbestos slate roof with ridge tiles and gable ends. Gable end stacks with brick shafts. Plan: Pair of attached houses; each house is of one-room plan, with paired central entrances and one room to each outer side, each of equal size and heated from gable end stack. Each house has a small one-room plan rear service wing, heated from a gable end stack. Exterior: 2 storeys; the pair of houses form a symmetrical 2-window front. The house to left has C20 half-glazed door and the house to right has a C19 10-panelled door, both with timber lintels. At ground floor to right and left a C19 16-pane sash with timber lintel. At first floor each house has a central C19 16-pane sash with timber lintel. The house to right has a shallow round-arched recess to right at ground floor. The right end is blind. Attached to rear right and left is a small 2- storey service wing of one-room plan. Interior: Not inspected.
