- the Manor Farmhouse

GV II

Barn, formerly coastguard's store. Datestone 1882. Slatestone rubble with granite quoins and jambstones. Half-hipped Burlington slate roof. Rectangular 1 room plan. 2 storeys. South west front has wide slatestone flight of steps left of centre. Round brick arched opening to well under landing. Wide segmental brick arched opening to right of this and small window with granite lintel to far right. 2 rows of dove hole under eaves. North west wall has wide central segmental arched doorway with granite voussoirs and projecting keystone. Narrower first floor opening over with brick arch. Further dove holes under eaves. Interior has original floor structure and roof incorporating reused ships timbers, some with treenails and several spars, in some cases complete with pulleys. Included for group value.
