Green Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. Late C17 with C18 rear wings, C19 and C20 alterations and
additions. Coursed rubble, roughcast at front, double Roman tiled roof with
some pantiles at rear, gable stacks with diagonal chimneys. U-plan, former
through passage. 2 storeys and 2 gables forming attic storey, symmetrical
front, 5 windows, all metal-framed casements except 2 C19 12-pane sashes in
exposed boxes in gables, central 6-panelled door with transom light and timber
lintel. 2 gables repeated on rear, it storey gabled former bakehouse/brewhouse
to west, 2-storey former dairy to east, C20 lean-to between irregular windows,
west side has 2 gables and irregular windows. Interior: former hall-kitchen
to west has winder stair, all beams boxed, wooden ovolo-moulded cornice in
