SWALLOWFIELD FARLEY HILL SU 76 SE 12/31 Farleyhill Court II

Large country house in landscaped surrounds, now divided into flats. C18, altered and extended C19 and C20. Brick, hipped slate roof. Irregular plan. 2 storeys. Several chimneys. Moulded brick string over first floor windows, brick frieze, stone cornice and blocking course, brick pilasters on outer angles, the right hand rusticated. Sash windows with glazing bars, some C20 replacements all with painted arches. North-east front:- central semi-circular bow of 3 bays with central projection, moulded first floor string, similar cornice and blocking course broken round central projection. To the right of bow are 3 bays with panelled entrance door under 1st bay, and to left 2 bays but with panelled entrance doors under each. To the left of the main part is a late C18 extension with plain parapet and 4 irregular bays, irregular on first floor level and obscured at ground level by C20 extension. Further to the left is an extension of 1876. On the right of the main part is an extension c1900.
