Details
Cross Green 1. 1480 (South Side) Nos 63 to 69 (odd) SE 2045 1/26 II 2. Block of four cottages, stone built, stone slated, two storeys. C18. All windows are of three lights divided by plain stone mullions (not chamfered) and these all remain. Interesting because they are the last type of Yorkshire stone houses designed for leaded lights, to be fixed direct to the stonework without the intervention of wooden frames. Some of these remain. After this leaded lights ceased to be used; modern ones are a revival and are rarely fixed direct to the stonework as they should be. Modern doors in stone architraves.
