SE 20 NW LOW FOLD Lower Cumberworth 4/74 No 26 (Withywood Hall)

House. C17, altered. Rendered walls, stone slate roof. Two storeys and cellar. Two room plan with central stack and outshut to rear. Quoins. Near-central Tudor-arched entrance with quoined surround. Original windows are double- chamfered, though most mullions missing. 4-light window to right of door. 2-light fire window to left of door and an altered C18. 4-light window with mullions missing to left of this. To far left is a former 2-light window now doorway. Ground-floor dripmound rises over main doorway as a hood. Two 2-light and three 3-light windows to 1st floor, the 3-light windows with mullions removed. Gabled copings on mounted kneelers to left. Large central rendered ridge stack with cornice. Single-storey out-shut to rear has a 2-light double-chamfered cellar window, and 2 chamfered single lights, plus later windows to ground floor. The left gable has an entrance with cambered head and chamfered surround, and a small bling light over with arched head. The right gable was a 2-light double-chamfered cellar window, a tiny chanfered lst- floor light and a similar light to gable apex. Several later windows. Interior: One C17 and one C18 fireplace spine beams reed-moulded down centre. Central king-post truss with deep tie-beam. Some early timberwork visible between house and outshut.
