Terrace of 6 town houses, now club, shop, office and shop. Dated 1848 on left return wall of No.66; altered. Chisel-dressed sandstone ashlar, slate roof. Debased classical style. Double-depth plan, each house single-fronted, with back extensions. 3 storeys, 2+2+2+2+2+2 windows, in a symmetrical composition with 2-window centre and ends breaking forwards slightly and pedimented; a plain plinth, sillbands to the pedimented portions and moulded gutter cornices. Nos 70 & 74 have doorways with plain surrounds (and the marks of former canopies or porches which have been removed); Nos 66, 72 & 74 have C20 altered ground floors; otherwise, all windows are vertical-rectangular with plain surrounds, those at 1st and 2nd floors of No.74 sashed with glazing bars but all the others with altered glazing. Between the 1st-floor windows of No.66 is a triangular-headed plaque with raised lettering: "ROBINSON/ PROSPECT/ TERRACE" Ridge chimneys to the right-hand portion only. The 4-window left return of No.66 (to Albert Street) has a rectangular plaque with raised lettering: "ALBERT/ STREET/ 1848" Rear: No.76 has a tall round-headed stair-window with radiating glazing bars and keyed surround, and 16-pane sashed windows at 1st and 2nd floors; the others are altered. INTERIOR not inspected.
