Lip Hill Farmhouse and adjoining dwelling
II
Two dwellings at 90° with separate roofs. Both of similar date, one is dated 1690, some C19 rebuilding. Coursed rubble and hammer dressed stone. Quoins. Part rendered. Stone slate roof with chamfered gable copings on simple kneelers. Two storeys. Building to north: north-east gable: one 4-light double chamfered window with outer mullions removed. Hood mould. Two C19 single lights to first floor. Left side has C19 entrance with 2-light double chamfered window to first floor. Rear gable has one 3-light stone mullioned window to each floor. Building to south (main farmhouse) is largely rebuilt in mid C19 with gable frontage. To right end of north-est elevation is chamfered doorway with partly arched head inscribed: E SH AH 1690 Rear elevation has part blocked Tudor arched doorway (opposite main entrance), and 3-light window to first floor. Later adjoining barns not included in the item.
