Croft House Farm Barn
II
Cruck framed barn. C16 or earlier, with C17 or early C18 cladding. Coursed rubble. Quoins. Stone slate roof. Entrance to left and outshut extension to right. Entrance to rear with chamfered surround and timber lintel, opposite main doorway. Formerly 2 cruck trusses, with upper collar, lever holes and supported on stone footings. One cruck is truncated and the upper part is replaced by queen-post system. 'Early Timbered Buildings of the Huddersfield District', James Walton, 1955.
