House. Initialled and dated " WC IC 1697 " with early C19 addition to left. Ashlar, hammer-dressed stone to sides, rear and addition, stone slate roof. Quoins. 2 storeys with attic. Original house has double- depth 2-room front with central lobby-entry against stack. Doorway has finely-moulded eared architrave with date stone over. Over, to 1st floor, is oculus with 2-piece moulded architrave. To either side flat-faced mullion windows with inner chamfer and raised surrounds of 4-lights to left and 3-lights to right. Central stack. Addition has doorway with monolithic jambs and 2 bays of square windows with plain stone surrounds. Coped gables with kneelers. Rear has 2 bays of double-chamfered mullioned windows with almost square reveals of 3 lights. Left hand bay has a 2-light flat-faced mullioned window inserted on ground floor. Central 2-light window at mezzanine level probably to light stair, with small chamfered light to lst floor. Addition has doorway to 1st floor with monolithic jambs, approached up a flight of 4 stone steps. Left return has doorway with composite jambs and chamfered surround which rises to form false ogee lintel. 2-light chamfered mullioned window to attic.

Interior: not inspected but is said to have fine arched fireplace. RCHM (England) report.
