4/168 Barn at Green Farm 18.9.75 approximately 15 metres to north-west of farmhouse.
GV II
Barn. Probably C17. Cruck-framed, coursed gritstone rubble, stone slate roof. Elongated range with partial aisle to front centre and small separately roofed block to front left. Single storey, 6 bays. Large quoins, plinth courses to downhill right end, Central outshut has a large cart entrance to its right and an open-fronted bay to left. Doorway in quoined surround at left end of outshut. Interior: contains cruck framework not available for inspection: Previous list description states '4 cruck pairs'. Barn discussed at length by S. O. Addy in The Evolution of the English House,1933 ed,pp92-94.
