Farmhouse. Probably C16 core encased and outshut added in early C18, altered. Cement-rendered, stone and brick on right return wall, pantile roof. Two storeys, three bays, continuous outshut to rear, later lean-to on right return (not of special interest). Doors to left of bays one and two, all windows are C20 three-light casements with projecting stone sills. Brick end stack to left, ridge stack between bays two and three.
Interior: ground-floor room on left has twin spine beams with tongue-shaped chamfer stops, the rear beam with soffit mortices. Bressumer with doorhead to wall dividing bays one and two. first floor: visible from loft over outshut to rear left is the timber-framed side wall of bay one having wall posts with quadrant braces. to a mid rail and stud infill. Bay three has exposed purlins with straight wind braces. Principal-rafter trusses visible in loft. Extensive amounts of a timber-framed house of three bays are likely to be encased within the present shell.
