10/29 Group of three grave slabs (Dixon) approx 5 metres south of south chapel door of Church of All Saints

GV II

Group of three grave slabs. 1680s, c1716, c1740. Sandstone slabs.

1. Plain with arched decoration at top. To: Ann wife of Thomas Dixon d. 26th February 168? Also Thomas Dixon, Yeoman d. 25th May 1714 aged 65 years. Also Thomas son of George and Olive Dixon of Clay Hall, Yeoman.

2. Simple decoration to sides and bottom and arched decoration to top. To George Dixon of Clay Hall, Yeoman d. 16th May 1716 aged 41 years and 7 months. A short poem follows and further dedications.

3. Moulded surround and arched decoration at top. To: John son of John and Ann Dickson of Clay Hall d. 26th May 1740 aged 10 months. Also further sons and daughters: Timothy 1744 aged 6 years, Ann and Olive Dixon who died in infancy, Alice d. 1751 aged 1 year 7 months.
