SK69SE BAWTRY SWAN STREET (south side) 10/38 Nos 6 and 8 (formerly 5th June 1968 listed as part of No 6, No 8, No 10 Swan Street) GV II Two houses now antique shops. Early C19, altered. Brick in Flemish bond, C20 cement-tile roof. 3 storeys, 4 bays. Central 6-panel door having overlight with intersecting-tracery glazing bars beneath flat brick arch. Early C19 shop window on left has central door flanked by large casements with glazing bars curving in at each end; round-arched doorway on left. To right of centre is a part-glazed door and 3-pane overlight beneath flat brick arch; on its right a later shop window. 1st floor: projecting stone sills to sashes with glazing bars beneath flat arches. 2nd floor: 6-pane sashes with matching sills and arches. Dentilled eaves, truncated end stacks.
