Cottage ornée. Late C18-early C19. Pebble-dash over red brick. Stone slate roof partly missing. Single storey, five-sided, with additional bay to rear. Doorway (door missing) on north side under a deep porch supported by four wooden posts, one missing. Wooden cross-windows with stone sills; the frame to right of door missing. Central brick stacks with three diagonally-set flues and ashlar bands.
Interior: two main living rooms with a cast-iron grate and small cooking range. Rear room has original wooden cupboard doors and small cast-iron grate. The additional bay appears to have been unheated. The building has been empty for several years.
It stands close to the A1 and is extensively vandalised.
