Lodge. Early C18 with C19 addition. Brick in Flemish bond, ashlar quoins and dressings, Westmorland slate roof. Originally 4-gabled building on Greek cross plan with one gable end extended in C19. Ashlar quoins and eaves band throughout. 2 storeys. Entrance front: one bay. 3 steps to 6-fielded-panel door in ashlar doorcase of attached Ionic columns carrying plain moulded entablature and dentilled pediment. Narrow sash windows in keyed stone surrounds to either side. Eaves band broken by round-headed sash window with moulded archivolt flanked by quoins which link with pediment of doorcase below. Projecting bays to sides have shallow recesses containing round-arched sash windows with glazing bars and radial glazing to heads in pilastered surrounds with moulded archivolts and moulded sills supported on brackets. One 16-pane sash to each storey of C19 extension. Ridge stacks.
