Outbuilding approximately 20 metres north of Elm House

Incorrectly shown on Ordnance Survey map as High Elm House. Range of
outbuildings. 1780 on lintel; extended later. For Thomas Chapman. Roughly
tooled sandstone with pantile roof. Barn at end right with loose box to
left; loose box to left; stable and byre with loft over added further to
left. Single-storey, 5-bay front. 5 stable doors with shuttered pitching
window at end right. Lintel to centre door inscribed:
Mr Thos Chapman.

Stepped eaves course. Coped gables. Rectangular kneelers to left and
shaped kneeler in the form of a section of dentilled cornice to right. Left
gable end: flight of stone steps with dog kennel below leads to loft door.
Interior: in barn 2 pairs of raised A-apex trusses with tie beams. In the
stable to left of centre stall partitions and hay rack survive. Included
for group value.
