GV II
House. Late C18 with early C19 alteration and further later C19 alteration and extension. Dressed sandstone with brick extension, pantile roof and brick stacks. Central-stairhall plan, 1½ rooms deep, with rear service extension. 2-storey, 3-window front. Central door of 4 raised and fielded panels over a diagonal cross panel, with overlight, beneath bracketed canopy porch. 16-pane sashes with painted stone sills and tripartite lintels throughout. Stepped eaves course. Coped gables and shaped kneelers. End stacks. Garden gate and railings attached to front wall, with turned standards and urn and spearhead finials. Interior: open-string dog-leg staircase with moulded, wreathed handrail, ramped-up at landings; stick balusters, turned newel and shaped tread ends. Ground-floor room to front right has panelled and shuttered window recess.
