House with restaurant. Late C18, raised to 3 storeys probably in late C19 and
attic raised again in C20. Pebbledash on gable end facing road, incised render
on other elevations. Plain tiled roof, rendered chimneys. Road front 3 storeys
and set back attic, 1 bay. Restaurant frontage has central door and flanking
2-light windows, all with glazing bars. Shaped fascia board above. Early C20
sashes, with external shutters, on upper floors. Similar sash in recessed attic
gable. 2 chimneys set back from eaves. Left return steps in at second-floor
level: 3 bays with modern transomed casements on ground floor, C20 sashes
above. Included for group value.
