Large farmhouse, mid-late C18 rebuilt possible former longhouse retaining hearth-passage plan. Coursed herringbone-tooled sandstone; pantiled roof with stone dressings. Main block 2 storeys, 3 bays, nearly symmetrical; 1-storey kitchen wing at right of 1 wide bay, holds half-glazed through-passage door. Main house has central half-glazed 6-panel door under heavy lintel with triple keystone. Circa 1900 sash windows in original openings; wide, keyed lintels (except for first floor centre which has lintel cut to imitate voussoirs) projecting cills and raised V-jointed alternate-block jambs, echoing the quoins of the building. Moulded eaves cornice. High-pitched swept roof with stone ridge, copings on moulded kneelers and corniced end stacks to house and at right of kitchen wing.

Rear elevation of 4 irregular bays to the main house. Four C19 sashes, 1 with glazing bars, and one fixed light with glazing bars. Small late C19 sash in kitchen wing.

Interior not inspected, but a pleasing cut-string staircase, with 2 turned balusters to a tread, is illustrated in R.C.H.M. op.cit. p.230.
