House. Late C17 to early C18 with later alter ations and additions. Possibly timber framed, with narrow reddish-brown hand-made brick rendered and colourwashed to front, the lower part faced with white glazed brick. Pantile and hand-made plain tile roof. Central direct entry, 2-cell house with continuous outshut to rear and later extension. 2 storeys, 2 first floor windows. White glazed brick plinth projects under left window to form display slab of former butcher's shop. Central doorway has lower half-door immediately in front of 4-panel door, under elliptical arch. C20 casement and 3-pane tripartite Yorkshire sash. To first floor: 4-pane Yorkshire sash and 6-pane tripartite Yorkshire sash. Swept roof and end stacks. To rear, original outshut under catslide roof with later 2-storey gable-ended outshut. Interior has chamfered beams with plain stops to ground floor rooms. Interior not fully inspected.
