Rubble with some dark brown brick, Westmorland slate roof, partly replaced by corrugated sheeting. U-shaped plan, mainly of 2 storeys, 1:4:1 bays, with outer bays projecting forward. Central range: 4 bays of brick semicircular arches supported on piers edged in brick; the central 2 openings have leaved board doors below timber lintels, blocked above; the outer 2 openings contain board doors in ashlar keyed architraves with 12-pane fixed-light windows above in arch; first floor blank. Left wing: sash window with glazing bars below brick segmental arch on ground floor; C20 two-light casement above. Right wing: plated door in ashlar keyed architrave. Ashlar stepped eaves. Hipped roofs. Added white brick stack on right eaves of left wing. Corniced ashlar stack between fifth and sixth bays. Right return of left wing: blind sash window opening on ground floor; blind half-size window on first floor, both with brick surrounds. Left return of right wing: has been the same, but now with board door on ground floor, board pitching door above. To rear left, single-storey range of domestic accommodation, probably later C19 has 4 sash windows with glazing bars in ashlar surrounds with interrupted jambs; ashlar coping to left; central ashlar stack.
