Farmhouse and barn. c1670, refronted late C18 with C19 and C20 alterations.
Slobbered squared rubble, stone dressings, stone slate roof. Formerly lobby
entrance, altered c1890 to central staircase plan. Former left-hand entrance now
blocked, chamfered surround, datestone above inscribed GW 1738. Central entrance
c1890, plain surround, 6 panel door, upper 2 glazed. 2 c1740 windows per storey
each 3-light, recessed, flat faced, mullioned; 4-pane casements and fixed lights.
Eaves modillions, gable end kneelers and coping. Gable end ridge stacks. Rear
contains late C17 2-light double chamfered mullioned window on ground floor;
substantial additions of c1890 and c1925. Interior: front left-hand room contains
massive inglenook fireplace of c1670 with chamfered surround and joggled voussoirs
forming basket arch; round-headed arches to left and right, that on left to former
lobby. Barn to left is slightly lower than house. C17 with C19 alterations. 3
bays. Central segmental arched entrance, plank doors. Left-hand Tudor arch
entrance with chamfered surround, plank door. Right-hand partly blocked chamfered
entrance and small round-headed window. Walls raised in late C19 and reroofed.
