Former Moulton station, now house and cottage. c1846. By G T Andrews for George Hudson's Great North of England Railway. Rubble with ashlar dressings, Welsh slate roof. Jacobethan style. 2 storey-range of 1:1:1 bays facing road; single-storey range, formerly facing line, at rear to right. Main elevation: quoins. Central bay breaks forward and is gabled. On ground floor, board door in chamfered, quoined surround with Tudor arch. 2-light chamfered mullion window on first floor. Decorative bargeboards to gable. To left, 3 and 2-light chamfered mullion windows on ground and first floors respectively. To right, board door in surround as central door and 2-light chamfered mullion window below relieving arch on ground floor, 2- light chamfered mullion window on first floor. Chimney stacks rise from rear roof slope. Right return: canted bay window with stone roof and original clock on ground floor, 2-light chamfered mullion window on first floor. Decorative bargeboards to gable. Single storey has 3-light window and doorway.
