Farmhouse, C17 but earlier fabric possibly concealed. Extended in late C18 or early C19. Rendered stone and cob. Slate roofs at 2 levels with gable ends. Hipped roof to porch. 3 room and through-passage plan extended by additional room at lower end said to have once been a lean-to and later heightened to 2 storeys. Scroll- stopped chamfered beam to lower end which has some C18 joinery and large concealed fireplace with 2 - bread ovens. The house is of interest as it illustrates 4 locational changes in cooking activity; an infilled bread oven to the hall, 2 bread ovens to the partially concealed fireplace at the lower end, the added bay at the lower end was refitted as a kitchen in mid C20, and a late C20 kitchen in an extension to rear of inner room.
