GV II
Formerly a farmhouse, now a restaurant and hotel. Of two building periods forming L-plan. Range to east early C18 and of red brick incorporating earlier timber framed house on site. Tiled, gabled roof with ridge stack and end stack. Of two storeys and attics with bands at eaves height and between storeys. Two C18 windows and doorway to gable end. Mid C18 range to west, also of red brick. Tiled, mansard roof with end parapet and ridge stack. Two storeys and attics. Two dormers and five windows, all with C20 fenestration, one in site of original entry. Interior. Range to east of two room plan, with a cellar. Fragments of timber framing visible in rear wall. Each range has an inglenook hearth. RCHM (Hunts) mon.(5), p265.
