12/61 Leawood Lodge - - II
Lodge to Leawood House. Circa early C19. Local stone rubble walls with granite dressings. Hipped slate roof. Large projecting rubble lateral stack at rear. Originally 2-room plan with kitchen/living room to the right heated by a rear lateral stack and an unheated dairy/service room to the left. 2-storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front of 2-light casements with arched heads and gothic glazing to the top sections which are probably original although the casements may have been replaced. Central doorway rather incongruously reuses fabric from elsewhere comprising a stone arched head with heavy roll mouldings and 2 massive crude granite piers with moulded tops. Interior not inspected.
