SD 769 407 7/91 Great Mearley Cottage (formerly listed as Mearley Cottage, Great Mearley) 13-2-1967 - II
House, late C17th, altered. Pebbledashed rubble with stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Windows mullioned, with double chamfers and hoods on the ground floor and chamfers on the 1st floor. Those to the right of the door on the ground floor appear to be C17th and are of 4 and 3 lights. To the left is a 4-light window of C19th appearance. On the 1st floor are 3 3-light windows, also C19th. Above the door is a blank plaque with chamfered surround. The door has a chamfered surround, partly with C19th tooling. Chimney on left-hand gable and between bays 2 and 3. Interior not accessible at time of survey.
