Details

SX 96 NW COFFINSWELL DACCOMBE 4/100 Drew's Farmhouse including barn at south east end 15.9.81 GV II Farmhouse. C17 possibly with C16 origins. Considerably modernised in late C20. Rendered cob walls. Thatched roof, gabled to right and hipped to left end. 2 rendered rubble stacks with brick shafts, one is axial, the other projects from the right gable end. Originally 3 room and through-passage plan with hall stack backing onto passage and unheated inner room. Lower room to right with gable end stack. 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 4 window front of late C20 aluminimum framed casements with glazing bars. Ground floor window to right of centre is single light. Late C20 part glazed door at left end and to right of centre. Single storey rubble barn attached at left end has corrugated iron roof, with cart entrance to right end and left of centre. Interior: inaccessible at time of survey
