SOWTON SX 99 SE 1/28 Range of farm buildings immediately to the south-south- - west of Ivington Farmhouse

GV II

Range of farm buildings including cider house and general storage with cartway through, which is the entrance range of a planned farmstead. Built by the Garretts of Bishops Court asthe Home Farm, 1846. Red brick in Flemish bond; hipped, slate roof with lead rolls. The range farms the south-east side of the farmstead; it has only 2 later inserted windows or openings to the outer wall, except for the large wagon entrance to the extreme left-hand side (south), under the continuous roof which connects with that of the bank barn (q.v.). The big double doors are contemporary. Inner elevation with 3 first floor 2-light windows, some with stanchions and 2 hay and apple loft access openings. 3 openings and 2 doors below. The range forms part of a very well preserved and complete planned farmstead of the 1840s.
