7/98 Moorgate Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse, early C19th. Sandstone rubble with slate roof. Symmetrical front with stacks on gables and between bays 1 and 2. 2 storeys with cellar. 3 bays with tall plain stone window surrounds. Doorway with 5 stone steps probably C18th and re-set, having a shouldered architrave, fluted pilaster strips, moulded brackets and a triangular pediment. Outshut to part of rear. External door to cellar in right-hand gable. Right-hand cellar contains stone cheese press complete with wooden runners and bracing.
